The following applies for a PHEV:
Warning. Due to the specific design of cars equipped with high-voltage batteries,
we recommend using only genuine Škoda tow bars which come with a Škoda
guarantee for safety, reliability, and suitability for this vehicle type.
In the case of an accident, an incorrectly installed or unsuitable tow bar may
damage the high-voltage components of the car, exacerbate the effects of the
accident and cause injury or death.
We recommend leaving all related installation work to Škoda partners.

Assembly instructions
For cars not prepared for tow bar installation:
It is essential to order an electric wiring kit and possibly additional parts; consult the
corresponding product sheet for the relevant tow bar.
Warning. Does not apply to the Octavia RS (PV5) or the Scout (PV5). For the
Octavia Combi (PV5) not prepared for tow bar installation, the rear fender diffuser
must always be replaced. Replace the diffuser on the removed fender by carefully
snapping out the original diffuser and snapping in the new 5E6 807 521A diffuser.
Do not then cut out the hole pursuant to figures 3 to 5. If the vehicle is equipped
with convenient fifth-door opening (a virtual pedal - PR-4E6), a new antenna and a
control unit holder must be installed. Proceed according to the workshop manual
when installing these parts. Use the original control unit.

Important installation instructions:
Warning. The vehicle must be clean, if possible washed in a car wash.
Warning. In places where the wiring bundle runs over edges (brackets) of the
vehicle body, we recommend wrapping the bundle using an abrasion-resistant tape
prior to installation.
