5. Safety Information
Battery Safety Instructions
This device uses a replaceable 18650 Li-Ion
battery to provide power when not connected
to an external source. To ensure safe opera-
tion and longevity, follow these safety guide-
lines when handling, charging, and replacing
the battery.
General Safety Precautions
•
Use only the recommended 18650
Li-Ion battery model, which meets the
IEC 62133-2:2017 and/or UL1642 safety
standard.
•
Use only standard 18650 Li-ion cells (max
Ø18.6 mm x 65.2 mm). Do not use bat-
teries with different sizes or chemistries
or modified/protected cells that exceed
standard dimensions. Incompatible
batteries may damage the device or pose
a safety risk.
•
Do not expose the battery to extreme tem-
peratures. Avoid excessive heat (above
60 °C / 140 °F) or prolonged exposure to
direct sunlight. Likewise, avoid exposing
the battery to freezing conditions (below
0 °C / 32 °F), as performance may be
reduced and damage may occur.
•
Do not puncture, crush, or disassemble
the battery. Doing so may cause leakage,
overheating, fire, or explosion.
Charging Safety
•
Charge the battery only using a USB-C
power adapter compliant with relevant
safety standards, or the 10-32 V RJ45
power input.
•
Do not charge the battery unattended,
especially in enclosed spaces or near
flammable materials.
•
If the battery becomes hot, swollen, or
emits a strange odor during charging,
disconnect it immediately and place it in a
non-flammable area.
•
Always check that the charging connec-
tors and ports are clean and free of debris
before plugging in the device.
