Handling & Replacement
Replace the battery only with a model that
meets safety and compliance standards.
If the battery shows signs of damage,
such as dents, leaks, or discoloration, do
not use it. Dispose of it safely according to
local regulations.
Do not short-circuit the battery by allowing
metal objects (e.g., tools, keys) to touch
the battery terminals.
When replacing the battery, ensure correct
polarity (+ and -).
Storage & Disposal
Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away
from direct sunlight and moisture.
If storing the device for an extended
period, remove the battery and store it
separately at 40-60% charge to maintain
battery health.
Do not dispose of batteries in household
waste. Follow local recycling regulations
for proper disposal.
Following these guidelines will help maximize
battery life, ensure safe operation, and com-
ply with safety regulations.

Safe Installation
Your FLARM device, as well as the cables
must be installed in a suitable location,
following the instructions in the manual.
Installation shall be performed exclusively by
trained and qualified personnel.
Electrical Installation
PowerFLARM Flex should be connected via
a dedicated 3 A circuit breaker/switch or
a separate circuit breaker and switch. The
circuit breaker for PowerFLARM Flex must be
independent of essential avionics systems
to ensure that in-flight isolation does not
interrupt power to critical instruments. Pilots
must be able to disconnect PowerFLARM Flex
from the aircraft's electrical system without
affecting the operation of other avionics.
Operational Limitations
FLARM cannot warn in all situations. Warn-
ings may be incorrect, late, missing, not being
issued at all, show other threats than the most
dangerous or distract the pilot's attention.
FLARM does not issue resolution advisories.
FLARM can only warn of aircraft that are
equipped with FLARM, SSR transponders (in
