Inserting and removing the battery (05,
06)
IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the re-
chargeable battery. If the rechargeable battery
is left in the appliance after use, it may damage
the rechargeable battery.
■
Immediately after use, pull the rechargeable
battery out of the appliance and store in a
frost-protected area.
■
Only insert the rechargeable battery in the
appliance immediately before starting work.
Installing the battery
1. Open the cover (05/1) of the battery compart-
ment (05/a).
2. Push the battery (06/1) into the battery slot
(06/2) from above until it engages (06/a).
3. Close the cover of the battery compartment
(05/b).
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the unlock button on the bat-
tery.
2. Pull out the battery (06/1).

Switching the power supply on and
off (05)
WARNING! Risk of injury. Unintentional
switching on can lead to serious injuries.

Each time before work breaks and mainte-
nance work: Remove the battery.
Switching on the power supply
1. Open the cover (05/1) of the battery compart-
ment (05/a).
2. Insert a battery: see chapter 5.2 "Inserting
and removing the battery (05, 06)", page 43.
3. Close the cover (05/1) of the battery compart-
ment (05/b).
4. Switch on the appliance: see chapter 6.7
"Starting and stopping the mower mechanism
(19, 20)*", page 45.
Switching off the power supply
1. Pull out the battery: see chapter 5.2 "Insert-
ing and removing the battery (05, 06)",
page 43.
2. Immediately after use, pull the battery out of
the appliance, charge it and store it in a frost-
protected area. Insert the battery into the ap-
pliance only immediately before the next use.

Switching the cockpit ON and OFF*

Precondition: Battery is inserted.
Switching on the cockpit
1. Press the ON/OFF button (04/3) on the cock-
pit.
Switching off the cockpit
1. Press the ON/OFF button (04/3) on the cock-
pit.
If not used, the cockpit switches off automatically
after 10 minutes.

Before switching on, check that all safety and
protective devices are in place and function-
ing correctly!
WARNING! Risk of injury from abnormal
operating conditions. Stop the lawn mower im-
mediately. Remove the batteries. Then check
that all moving parts have come to a complete
standstill:

After a collision with a foreign object: Inspect
the lawn mower for damage and repair it. On-
ly then switch the lawn mower back on and
put it into operation.
■
If the lawn mower vibrates abnormally: In-
spect it for damage immediately. Repair or
replace damaged parts. Look for loose parts
and secure them again.

Setting the cutting height
CAUTION! Danger of lacerations. Danger
of lacerations when reaching into the running
mower mechanism.

Only adjust the cutting height when the motor
is switched off and the mower mechanism is
stationary.

Setting the cutting height (07) – easy
and comfort
1. Pull lever (07/1) outwards to disengage it (07/
a) and hold.
■
For short grass, push the lever towards
the front wheel (07/b).
■
For longer grass, push the lever towards
the grass catcher (07/b).
