Notes:
- During cue and review, the playback volume is
lower than in normal play.
* When the tape reaches its end during cue, the tape
is rewound, and when the tape reaches the start
during review, the tape stops. And when the
buttons are released, the tape starts playback.
* The cue or review search system cannot be used
during program play.
— Program play with random —
memory search system
1. When the unit is in the stop or play mode, first select
the desired program numbers by repeatedly pressing
the Program number select buttons (UP
4 /DOWN ¥)
©); press the Memory
button ©) after each selec-
tion. The number of the selected tune will be shown
in the Program number indicator @ and the
Program indicator @8 will light.
2. Press the Play button (1). The tunes will be played
automatically in the programmed order.
Note:
Pause is impossible during program play.
m@ Manual operations possible during
program play
Even when the random memory search system has
been used to initiate programmed playback, the
repeat and skip search can still be used without
erasing tunes. In addition, skip search can be used
so long as the tunes are within the range of the
programmed contents.
mClearing the programs
When you wish to clear a program, press the Memory
button G). When the program has been cleared, the
Program indicator @8 will go out.
+ The program is still stored in memory even after
the Program indicator @® goes out. The following
methods can be used to erase the program from
the memory.
1) Press the Program number select buttons (UP 4/
DOWNY) © or the Numeric buttons @6) of the
remote control while the Program indicator @8)
is switched off.
2) Turn the power off.
3) Perform recording or after recording (editing).
Pause-standby
1. Set the unit to the stop mode.
2. Select the number of the tune you want to listen to.
3. Press the Pause button @). The unit will search for
the selected tune and enter the pause mode.
* When the Pause button is pressed again, play-
back will start.
RECORDING
— To record from the start —
of tape
1. Set the Operate switch @2 to ON (1) and insert a
cassette tape.
2. Set the Analog/Digital input select switch to
match the source to be recorded. (If it is set to Digital,
the Digital input indicator @Q will light.)
3. Press the Rewind/Reverse skip button @) to rewind
the tape. When the tape is rewound to its start, it
stops.
4. Press the Record button and Pause button
simultaneously to set the DAT-88EX to the record
pause mode. (The Pause 62), Play @3 and Record
@4 indicators will light.)
« With the above operation, the DAT-88EX automati-
cally leaves a 4-second no-signal recorded section
