To renumber

When
a tape
is edited,

numbers
of tunes
become out of order. Use this function to arrange the
order of program
numbers.
1. Set the After recording switch
@ to "ON".
2. Press the ID Mode
button
@) to set the subcode
record mode
to "RENUMBER".

light in the Subcodes indicator 67.)
3. Press the Write button @ in the stop or play mode.

The tape is rewound to its start automatically, start
IDs are searched
and the program
numbers
are re-
numbered
starting from
1.

renumbering.

The program numbers are renumbered starting from
the designated
program
number.

To record skip IDs
Record a skip ID if there is a section you want to skip
during playback. You can skip the section from where
the skip ID was
recorded,
to the next start ID.

@3 to "ON".
2. Press the ID Mode

@) to set the subcode
record mode to "SK-ID". ("SK-ID" will light in the
Subcodes
indicator @)).)
3. Press the Write button @) during playback. ("WRITE
will light in the Subcodes indicator @)).)
A skip ID is recorded where the button is pressed.
Notes:
* When the After recording switch @3 is left "ON",
skipping is not performed even when a skip ID is
detected
during
playback.

A skip ID cannot be recorded when
start. IDs are
being recorded.

in a non-recorded
section.
To erase skip IDs
1. Set the After recording
switch

to "ON".
2. Press the ID Mode
button
@) to set the subcode
record mode to "SK-ID". ("SK-ID" will light in the
Subcodes
indicator 67.)
3. Press the Erase button (1) in the stop or play mode.
(The Play indicator 63 will flash and "ERASE" will
flash in the Subcodes indicator 62.)
The DAT-88EX returns to the skip ID one step before
and erases
it.
