IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Please read these instructions before operating and keep for future
reference.
2. To prevent electrical hazards, do not immerse any part of the appliance or
cord in water or any other liquid.
3. Children must be supervised when near the appliance.
4. Always use the appliance on a dry and level surface.
5. Do not use this appliance outdoors.
6. Always unplug from the plug socket when not in use and before cleaning.
7. Do not operate the appliance if it malfunctions or is damaged. Return to an
authorised service engineer for repair. Special tools are required.
8. Regularly check the supply cord, ensuring there is no damage. If any signs of
damage are found, the appliance must be returned to an authorised service
centre.
9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot
surfaces. Allow the unit to cool before wrapping cord around base for
storage.
10. Surfaces get hot during use – do not touch to avoid scalding. Before storing
or covering, ensure the appliance has cooled down completely.
11. Keep this appliance away from hot gas, electric burners, heated ovens and
open microwaves.
12. Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven cleaners when
cleaning this appliance.
13. When using this appliance, ensure there is enough space above and all
sides of the appliance, so there is proper air circulation. Do not allow this
appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, cloths or other
flammable materials during use. CAUTION is required on surfaces where
heat may cause a problem – an insulated heat pad is recommended.
14. This appliance is for household use.
15. When using the toaster, ensure the slide out crumb tray is in place. The tray
should be cleaned regularly – do not allow crumbs to build up.
16. Do not use this appliance for food containing sugar, jam or preserves.
17. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the
appliance.
18. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is
operating.
19. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
20. Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are
not using it, even if is only for a moment.
21. The appliance must not be used with an external timer or separate remote
control system.
