● Remove the jug from the base, then fill with water from the tap. Never fill the
jug above the 'max' level.
● Do not switch on the appliance before you have filled it with water. Fill only
with cold water.
● The jug's lid must remain securely closed whilst the appliance is in use.
● Never open the lid when the water is still boiling.
● Use the appliance only to boil or heat water. Never use it for other liquids!
● Fill the jug kettle with at least 0.5 litres of water.
● Allow the appliance to cool to room temperature before storing.
● This appliance must not be used with an external timer or remote control.

Before using for the first time
Remove possible manufacturing residues by boiling three full kettles of water.
Dispose this water.
Tip: You can use vinegar or special descaling agents for the first time.
Use
1. Turn the jug, so the spout faces away from you.
2. Open the lid (1).
3. Fill the jug with the required quantity of water (at least 0.5 liters, and a
maximum of 1.7 liters). Never fill the water boiler over the "max", otherwise
the hot water can spill out.
ATTENTION
Be cautious – do not spill water on the base.
● Pull up the lid handle to open the lid.
● Place the jug on the base, then insert the plug in the wall socket. Push down
the ON/OFF switch. The ON/OFF pilot light will illuminate.
● The jug kettle is now switched on – the water will begin to heat. The jug kettle
switches off automatically a few seconds after the water has come to the boil.
The on/off pilot light will turn off.
● Remove the jug from the base by the handle and pour the water out.
