IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

• Before using this appliance, read all instructions. Retain this manual for future reference.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8
and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
• The appliance must not be immersed.

• The bread may burn, therefore do not use the toaster near or below combustible material,

• Always use the appliance on a dry and level surface.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors.
• When not in use and before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the socket.
• If the appliance is damaged or malfunctions in any way, do not use it. Return the
appliance to an authorised service engineer for repair, as special tools are required.
• Regularly check the supply cord, ensuring there are no damages. If signs of damage
occur, return the entire appliance to an authorised service engineer.
• Ensure the cord does not hang over a table or counter or touch hot surfaces. Let the
unit cool before wrapping the cord around the base for storage.
• Parts of this appliance can become hot - do not touch to avoid burns. Do not store or
cover the appliance until it has cooled down completely.
