Eliminating minor faults yourself

Before you call customer service:
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault yourself based on the following information.
Customer service will charge you for advice – even if the appliance is still under guarantee!
Fault
Temperature differs greatly
from the set value.
Floor of the refrigerator
compartment is wet.
The temperature in
the refrigerator compartment
is too cold.
The refrigerating unit
is switching on more
frequently and for longer.
There is no cooling output
from the appliance.
The lighting does not work.
The display does not
illuminate.
Appliance is not cooling,
temperature display and light
are lit.
The light does not function.
Temperature display for
the refrigerator compartment
flashes.
The "cool-fresh" compartment
is too warm or too cold.

Possible cause
The condensation channel or drainage
hole are blocked.
Temperature has been set too low.
Appliance opened frequently.
The ventilation openings have been
covered.
Appliance is switched off.
Power failure
The fuse has been switched off.
The mains plug has not been inserted
properly.
Showroom mode is switched on.
The LED light is defective.
Appliance was open too long.
Light is switched off after approx. 10
min.
Appliance opened frequently.
Too much food was placed in the
compartment.
The airing and ventilation openings are
blocked.
The standard setting has been set too
high or too low (e.g. if there is frost
in the "cool-fresh" compartment).
Remedial action
In some cases it is adequate to switch off
the appliance for 5 minutes.
If the temperature is too high wait a few hours
and check whether the temperature has approached
the set value.
If the temperature is too low check the temperature
again the next day.
Clean the condensation channel and the drainage
hole. See chapter Cleaning the appliance.
Increase the temperature.
Do not open the appliance unnecessarily.
Remove obstacles.
Press the On/Off button ÿ .
Check whether the power is on.
Check mains fuse.
Check whether the mains plug is secure.
Hold down alarm button Ú for 10 seconds until an
acknowledgement signal sounds.
After a short time check whether your appliance
is cooling.
See chapter "Light (LED)" section.
When the appliance is closed and opened, the light
is on again.
Do not open the appliance unnecessarily.
Before placing food in the compartment, press the
Fast button Û .
Remove obstacles.
The temperature in the "cool-fresh" compartment
can be set to be 2 steps warmer and/or colder. If
the refrigerator compartment temperature is set to 4,
the "cool-fresh" compartment has a temperature
of almost 0 °C.
1. Press Fast button on refrigerator compartment
Û for 3 seconds until a signal sounds.
Temperature display on refrigerator
compartment flickers.
2. Change the setting using the temperature
setting buttons B C.
Setting 2 – coldest setting
Setting 8 – warmest setting
The set temperature is saved after one minute.
