5. First steps

5.1 Installation of the TOURATECH Connect Dongle
Switch off the vehicle completely. I.e. deactivate ignition and wait 2 minutes. It is not
necessary to disconnect the battery.
Connect the vehicle-specific connection cable to the vehicle at the designated place.
The detailed connection description can be found in the information of the vehicle-specific
connection cable.

Make sure that all plug connections are securely locked and that neither cable nor
dongle are pinched or can chafe.
5.2 Removal of the TOURATECH Connect Dongle
Switch off the vehicle completely (see 5.1), disconnect plug connections. Close unused,
open plug connection with original dummy plug to prevent ingress of dust and water.

5.3 How do I connect my Smartphone
1 Switch on vehicle ignition
2 Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone
3 TOURATECH Connect Start application
4 Within the application,
process start. Select the device "TT CAN" from the result list and connect it.
5 Complete the device registration
6 Select the suitable vehicle / vehicle type
7 Select a predefined data display or create your own data display in the Design Area.
