To enjoy your locomotive for a long time, it ist
y
necessar
to service it regularly(i.e.after it has
been in operation for approximately30 hours).
1. Cleaning of wheel contacts: Wheel contacts
easily get dirty on tracks which are not entirely
clean. Use a small brush to remove
spotsmarkedin fig. 6. Priorto cleaningremove
gear cover (fig. 2).
2. Lubrication: Apply tiny oil drops to spots
marked in fig. 9. Prior to lubrication dismantle
locomotive (fig. 2). We recommendusing item no.
10906, Roco oiler. Forlubrication the gear-parts
(e.g. cog-wheels, w orm) we would recommend
our Roco special grease (item No. 10905).
Attention: Pleasedo not oil these parts when
using our grease.

3. Change of lights: First removeloco body
(fig.2) andthen change lights (fig. 5).

4. Changeof traction tyre: Remove gear cover
(fig. 4). Takeout wheel set and removetraction
tyre usinga pin or a fine screwdriver(fig. 7).
When pressingon the new traction tyre please
avoid twisting it.

5. Carbon Brush Changing: First remove loco
body(fig. 2), and then replace the carbon brus-
hesor the motor (fig.8).

Assembly: During assemblyplease take care of
correct position of contacts (fig. 10). Payatten-
tion alsobypositioning the cardanshafts!
