12 Maintenance
Check the technical safety of the fog machine regularly, e.g. for damage to the connection cables or to the housing.
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed unless this can be
done by hand.
Contact points may also be live.
If the appliance needs to be opened for calibrating, servicing, repairing or replacing parts or as-
semblies, it must be disconnected from all sources of current first.
If servicing or repairs inside the appliance are necessary, this must be carried out by a specialist
who is familiar with the risks involved and with the relevant regulations.
Capacitors in the device can still carry a charge even if the device has been disconnected from all
voltage sources.
12.1 Fuse replacement
If the fuse must be replaced, observe that only fuses of the indicated type and rated current (see Technical Data)
must be used.
Do not repair fuses or bridge the fuse holders.
After the device is successfully disconnected from the mains (pull mains plug and disconnect mains line at the
device!), carefully lift out the fuse holder with the defective fuse at the mains connection POWER with a suitable
screw driver.
Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
Now carefully plug the fuse holder with the new fuse back into its holder at the mains connection POWER.
After this, you can reconnect the device to the mains and take it into operation.
