Remove the protective cover

Set the speed switch
(revolutions per minute). Select the speed that
applies to the record that is to be played. The
speed is usually printed on the cover or on the
label of the record. Long-play (LP) records are
generally played at 33 1/3 rpm, so 33 should be
chosen. Singles and maxi singles are usually
played at 45 rpm. Older records / shellac re-
cords are usually played at 78 rpm.
