II. Tips and notes for everyday
Become familiar with the track and the terrain where your filming is to take
place. Draw a sketch of the track to ensure your own safety and the safety
of your filming equipment. Mark all obstructions you may probably find in
the track.
Always execute a test run before starting filming.
The choice of clothes you wear will considerably
comfort when handling the SteadyCam.

Furthermore you may protect yourself against accidental collisions or
injuries by wearing protective equipment, such as knee pads, gloves, etc.
Ask for an assistant who will help to avoid collisions and accidents of
the cameraman by tripping over during filming and to guide to the right

Walk as lightly as possible when filming.
NOTE
After the equipment has been used for a longer period of time, the slide
components need to be balanced again.
Check whether all buckles are securely locked. Before starting to film
check the spring arm by applying pressure.
Before starting to film all parts must be properly installed, because
otherwise the system may become unbalanced, collide with other
objects or drop down.
The operating load must not exceed the permissible range; do not apply
excessive forces to the system and avoid arbitrary lifting and application
of pressure while filming.
Protect you equipment against being damaged; make sure that the
device does not become damaged and no other people are hurt when
filming in locations with lots of people.
