The reception is usuallyavailableagain at one of the nexttransmissions.
18. Care

Onlyclean the device with a soft, dry linen cloth. In the case of heavy soiling, the cloth can be
slightly damp. Donot cleanthe devicewith cleaningagentscontainingsolvents!The device must
then be carefully dried with a cloth after cleaning.
Make sure that no moisturegets insidethe device.Checkthat the seal on the outside transmitter
is properly seated in the battery compartment.
- If dust has settled in the openingsof the sensorcover, removeit with a vacuum cleaneror blow
it out with low pressure.
- Check the rain sensor and the light sensor as well asthe solar cell for dirt deposits every 3 months.
Remove them with a damp cloth or blow out the chamber with low air pressure.
Clean the rain sensor every 3 months as follows:
1. Turn the funnel
anti-clockwise
2. Clean the funnel and rocker with a damp cloth
and, if necessary, a brush.
3. In case of insect infestation, spray funnel and
seesaw
with an insecticide.
4. Put the funnel
back on and turn it clockwise
until it clicks into place.
As a precaution, replace the batteries in all sensors every 1 to 2 years to avoid sudden battery
leakage and damage to the sensor.
- If the sensor is operated in a harsh environment, check the battery status every 3 months. We
recommend applying an electronic contact spray on the battery contacts when checking or changing
the battery.
To prevent icing or snow deposits, we recommend spraying the top of the combination sensor
with silicone spray during winter.
