15. Operating
Youcan make a numberof adjustmentsto the settingshere:
Registerthe combi sensorand additionalroomsensorsagain,seechapter4.
- Deletionof the weather data memory(can also be implementedvia "Restorefactory settings").
- Deletionof the MINIMAXmemory.
- Automaticdeletionof the MINIMAXmemoryeverydayat 00:00:00. If this optionis set to "Off", the
MINIMAXvaluessince commissioningor last manualdeletionwill be displayed.
- Restorefactorysettings.
- Storesaveddata on a microSDcard (insertedmicroSDcard required).
- View device information.
- Hea d tothe„settings" page byleaving t hemain view, u sing thesettings k ey a. Press t hesettings
key twice to get to the "Operationsettings/Factory"page.

16. Firmware-Update
Copythe updatefile (user.bin) into the basicdirectory of a microSDmemorycard.
- Disconnectthe WeatherScreenPROfrom the power supply.Insert the newly preparedmicroSD
memorycard intothe correspondingmemorycard slot of the WeatherScreen PRO.
Restorethe powersupplyto the station.The updatewindow appearsautomaticallyand installsthe
new firmware update.
- Do not interrupt the power supply or the connectionto the data storagedevice used during the
update.
After a successful update you can use the device as usual and view the new firmware version in
the menu „0perating settings/ Displayinformation/ Firmwarerevisionnumber".
17. General
The radio transmissionis implementedby meansof a non-exclusivetransmission path,which is
why interferencefrom neighbouringdevices cannot be preventedin all cases.
- Further interferences(EMI)can be caused by switching operations,electric motors or defective
electrical devices.
The range in buildingscan differ significantlyfrom that in the openfield. In additionto the trans-
mitting power and the receiving propertiesof the receivers, environmentalfactors such as air
humidity play an important role in addition to structural conditions on site. Any wall or obstacle
can cause signal attenuation.For example,an uncoatedglass pane can already causea signal
attenuation of up to 15 %, a brick wall up to 40 %, concrete up to 80 %, and a metallic obstacle
up to 100 %.
