Starting up the device
1. Remove the protective film from the device's display.
2. Open the battery compartment of the device (23).
3. Insert two 1.5 V AAA R03/LR03 batteries, ensuring the correct
polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment of the device (23).
The display will light up for around 3 seconds, an acoustic signal will
sound, and the device will check the room temperature. Then the radio
symbol (8)
flashes and the device receives the DCF77 radio signal.
This process can take 3-10 minutes. While the DCF77 radio signal is
being received, all buttons except theSNOOZE/LIGHT button (5)
and the down button (20) will not function.
If the reception of the DCF77 radio signal is unsuccessful after 10
minutes, the radio control symbol (8) will turn off. Set the time manually
(see "Basic settings"). The device will make a new attempt to receive
the DCF77 radio signal at 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. and will correct the time
and the date automatically after it has successfully received the DCF77
radio signal.
Note: Please do not move the device while receiving the DCF77
radio signal.
Basic mode
If the DCF77 radio signal is successfully received, the wireless symbol
(8) will be shown
permanently, and the correct time (6) in 24-hour
