WARNINGS AND INFORMATION
REDUCTION OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES
D-Link and its component suppliers strictly comply with the revised European Union
Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (formerly
2002/95/EC) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment. The directive, which came into
effect on July 1, 2006, prohibits the import into the European Union of electronic devices
containing hazardous substances. D-Link has fully complied with the requirements of
this directive. D-Link guarantees the safety of its products. The latest RoHS compliance

RADIO FREQUENCY EMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS (SAR)
This device is a radio transmitter and receiver. The device is designed and manufactured
to comply with the applicable radio frequency exposure requirements. According to the
standard, exposure to radio waves is determined by measuring the Specific Absorption
Rate (SAR). In accordance with international guidelines, the SAR value must not exceed
2 W/kg. Any device delivering less than 20 mW (=2/100 W) from the antenna port for an
average of 6 minutes will meet the basic restriction. SAR measurements are made using
the device at its standard operating positions, at its maximum certified power level in all
tested frequency bands. The actual SAR value during use of the device can be well below
the maximum value because the device is designed to operate at multiple power levels
so as to use only the power required to reach the network. In general, the closer the
device is to the base station, the lower the output power.
