Instruction manual K 50
___________________________________________________________________________
3. Remarks in respect of the determined use
The K 50 is a mechanical crimping tool for interchangeable dies.
The crimping process is defined by the closing motion of the dies. During that process the
connecting material is positioned in the stationary half of the die whereas the moving part of
the die is approaching the compression point.

3.1. Operation of the unit

First you have to select the right dies for the intended application.
Attention
Don't use the tool without dies.
To open the crimping tool press handles until the ratchet pawl disengages. Insert the
connecting material into the corresponding crimping profile and close the handles completely.
The crimping tool incorporates a ratchet mechanism which releases only after a full crimping
cycle is completed. In case of a handling error (e.g. mismatch between connector and die) the
ratchet mechanism can be released by turning release screw (see picture). Close the handles
just to release the ratchet and then turn the screw with a screw driver clockwise or anti
clockwise until the handles open again.
