4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
Wash the carafe, carafe lid, filter basket and removable filter with hot, soapy water or
-
place them in the top basket of the dishwasher. DO NOT put any other parts of the machine
in the dishwasher.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. To clean the coffee machine, simply use a soft, damp
-
cloth.
If necessary, clean the base with a soft, damp cloth.

- For stubborn stains, use a scouring pad or a cloth dampened with vinegar.
Warning: do not immerse the base or the outer housing of the machine in water or any other
liquid. Avoid wiping the inside of the water tank with a cloth, as this may leave lint residues and
clog the machine. Simply rinse it with tap water periodically.
Descaling (Self-cleaning function)
- Limescale build-up is common in drip coffee machines. In general, this is due to mineral
deposits in drinking water.
- To prevent clogging of the internal pipes of the machine, be sure to clean the machine
periodically to remove any limescale deposits that may have formed.
If you do not know how often you should descale the machine, do so when you notice that
-
the extraction process has slowed down.
- It is recommended to descale the coffee machine as follows:
1. Fill up the water tank with water and a descaler following the proportions indicated by the
descaler manufacturer.
2. Then, start the machine without inserting the filter.
3. Press the self-cleaning function icon
4. When the brewing cycle is finished, empty the carafe, and rinse it with water.
5. Finally, fill the tank with cold tap water and repeat the descaling process until there is no
water left in the tank. This will remove any remaining solution.
6. It is recommended to perform this process about 4 times a year.
NOTE: once the machine has completed 60 cycles of use, the self-cleaning LED indicator light
will flash white to remind you to perform a descaling cycle. In Standby mode, press the self-
cleaning icon to activate the corresponding function. Otherwise, the LED indicator light will
not stop flashing.
