Galvanic separation of the ELAC SUB 101 ESP from the mains is guaranteed only by pulling the mains

power amp or in parallel with the main speakers.
With mono sources, please use the terminal pair marked "L." If the bass is
reproduced too weakly, or the turn-on automatic does not react to quiet tracks,
please use a short bridge cable between the two input jack pairs.
Jacks for connection of the ELAC SUB 101 ESP to the pre-amp output of a
surround amplifier, surround receiver, or any other signal source with line output.
(e.g. CD-Player). With mono sources, please use the terminal marked "L." If the
bass is reproduced too weakly or the turn-on automatic does not react to quiet
tracks, please use a so-called Y-strand cable and connect both input terminals.
the satellites are connected. These terminals provied a filtered line signal with
reduced bass..
ATTENTION: these jacks transmit a passively filtered signal only if the subwoofer
is run via the "SPEAKER LEVEL IN" jacks.
Appliance connection plug. Please insert the appliance connector of the supplied
mains cable here.
Selector switch for mode adjustment.
[ON] = Device is operating continuously.
[OFF] = Device is on standby continuously.
[AUTO] = Normal position, device is turned on automatically upon signal, and
switches to standby mode again after a signal pause of more than 15 min.

the room. The more favorable polarity ("+" or "-") must be determined in a
listening test. Often, the setting "-" yields a more powerful addition of the signal
reproduced jointly by main speakers and subwoofer.
Tuning in coordination with the range reproduced by the main speakers. In
general, the crossover frequency must be the higher the smaller the main speaker
is.
the main speaker volume. In general, the subwoofer should be adjusted so as not
to appear too dominant. With too much bass, the sound becomes "smeared" very
quickly.
Fuse holder. Please, replace fuse only by fuse with the values indicated on the
