Creating tracks when recording from analogue audio sources
When recording from analogue audio sources, only one track is generally created without separating it into
individual tracks (songs). Songs cannot be recognised. To create individual songs, they must be separated
manually or automatically.
Creating tracks manually:
• During recording, press the MODE/CLK button (14) at the point where a new track is to be created.
• The display shows "TS" and a new track is created.
The recording is interrupted briefly when a new track is created. If the gap between songs is
very short, the start of the new song may not be completely recorded.
Creating tracks automatically:
This function can only be used when recording from the record player or an external audio
source (AUX IN).
• Press the MODE/CLK button (14) after selecting the recording source.
• The display shows "T-ON" and automatic track creation is activated.
• Pressing the MODE/CLK button (14) again will switch off automatic track creation. The display shows
"T-OF".
• Start recording by pressing REC/DEL (13).
• If the system detects a gap (no sound), it will automatically create a new track on the data carrier.
Parts of track with low volume or pauses within a song added intentionally by the music pro-
ducer may cause errors when detecting tracks automatically.
The recording is interrupted briefly when a new track is created. If the gap between songs is
very short, the start of the new song may not be completely recorded.
When recording from the record player, it will stop briefly between songs to wait for creation of
a new track so that the start of the new song is not removed.
