12. Maintenance

Check the technical safety of the device regularly, e.g. for damage to the housing or power adapter etc.
If a safe operation can no longer be assumed, the device must be put out of operation and secured against
unintended operation. Pull the power adapter out of the socket!
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
• there is visible damage to the device or the power adapter,
• the device no longer functions,
• the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
• after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Live components may be exposed, when the covering is opened or components are removed.
The device must be disconnected from all voltage sources before starting any maintenance or
repair works.
Capacitors in the device may still be charged, even if the device has been disconnected from
all power supplies.
Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel who are familiar with the hazards in-
volved and the relevant regulations.
Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the device only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents
or solvents since these damage the housing or the may impair functioning.
