14.25 Storage
● Store the machine in a dry and dust-
free room out of reach of children and
unauthorised persons.
● Any machine faults must be remedied
prior to storage in order to maintain a
safe operating condition.
● Close the fuel cock. ( 14.15)
● Remove the ignition key and keep in a
place where no unauthorised persons,
especially children, can access it.
14.26 Extended periods of inoperation
(e.g. winter break)
● Carefully clean all external parts of the
engine and machine, in particular the
cooling ribs.
● Thoroughly lubricate/grease all moving
parts.
● Remove the fuel from the fuel tank and
carburettor (e.g. by running empty).
● Engage the parking brake. ( 8.10)
● Observe the information in the engine
instruction manual.
● Perform an engine oil change (engine
instruction manual). ( 14.14)
● Disconnect the battery. ( 14.19)
● Store the battery safely in fully-charged
condition, in a cool and dry room.
110
14.27 Following storage for extended
periods (e.g. over winter)
● Check the battery voltage. If the
minimum voltage is not achieved, fully
recharge the battery using a battery
charger before installation.
Minimum voltage: 11,5 V
● Insert and connect the battery.
( 14.20)
● Check the tyre pressures. ( 14.9)
● Check the fuel level and top up if
necessary.
● Perform an engine oil change if
necessary. ( 14.14)
● Check the engine oil level and top up if
necessary. ( 14.13)
15. Transport
Risk of injury!
Before transporting, carefully read
and observe the section "For your
safety", in particular the subsection
"Transporting the ride-on mower".
( 4.), ( 4.3)
Drive slowly and with particular
caution on loading ramps, ensuring
that the wheels do not drive over
the edges of the loading ramps –
danger of falling!
Do not change speed or direction
abruptly.
On public roads, the machine may
only be transported by means of a
suitable vehicle or trailer. Do not
tow!
● Before loading, select the highest
cutting level. ( 12.6)
● Support the trailer at the front so that it
cannot tilt up due to the weight of the
machine.
● Use a suitable lifter or suitable and
stable loading ramps of sufficient width
for loading the machine.
● Position the loading ramps safely and
secure – observe the wheel base and
track width of the ride-on mower.
( 21.)
● Ensure an even distribution of the load
on trailers.
● After loading, select the lowest cutting
level. ( 12.6)
● Stop the engine. ( 12.3)
● Push the machine fully forward until the
bumper contacts the front wall of the
trailer or vehicle.
● Engage the parking brake. ( 8.10)
● Close the fuel cock. ( 14.15)
● Fasten the front bumper of the machine
to the front wall of the trailer or vehicle
using suitable fastening material
(straps, ropes, etc.), apply forward
tension and secure.
● Place additional wedges (not included
in standard equipment) at the wheels to
prevent the machine from inadvertently
rolling away.
