OPERATION
5.1
MEASURING – TRIGGERING – SAVING/SENDING
The operating instructions for the test/measuring instrument describe the
procedure for performing measurements, as well as operation of the test/
measuring instrument. This document only describes how to use the prod-
uct as a substitute for the actions otherwise performed at the test/measur-
ing instrument.
You have prepared and are ready to execute the test/measurement in
accordance with the operating instructions for the test/measuring in-
strument.
The product is connected to the test/measuring instrument
Proceed as follows:
1. Establish contact with the measuring point. In doing so, observe the
following:
Measuring category
In order to establish contact inside 4 mm sockets, the safety cap
has to be removed by prying open the snap fastener with a pointed
object (e.g. a second test probe).
The safety cap must also be removed in order to attach the alligator
clip with bayonet lock included in the scope of delivery.
2. A) Measurement:
Briefly press the measurement key
sured value display at the test instrument settles in and then release it,
depending on the selected measuring function.
The indicator LED lights up yellow during measurement. After mea-
surement has been completed, the indicator LED lights up green if
the test has been passed or red if it hasn't been passed, e.g. if limit
values have been violated
ATTENTION
Special Case for Insulation Resistance Measurement R
After measurement has been completed and for as long as contact with
the device under test is maintained, the device under test is discharged
via the test instrument.
