After finishing work, clean the machine thoroughly from the adhering snow. This is especially necessary before the machine is stored in a
tempered space and you are to use the machine for example the next day. Moisture inside the machine (created from melted snow) could
freeze during subsequent operation in freezing conditions and hamper its further use.

2.6.3.3 Storage

Do not store the machine in a space where the temperature falls below 0° C (suitable place is a cellar, tempered garage etc.).
Before starting the engine of the machine that was stored at temperatures below -5° C, allow the machine to warm up in tempered
premises.
When operating in conditions below -5° C we recommend:
before starting the actual work with the machine, run the engine until it warms up enough.
seal the manual starter cooling air intakes with self-adhesive tape.
The engine then warms up faster and will be thermally stable during the work.

2.6.4 Lubrication points

No cover needs to be removed from the machine when lubricating the cables on the handlebars. Other lubrication points are accessible
after remove the plastic covers. From the wide variety of oils, any engine oil, gearbox or transmission oil, or spray oil is appropriate. From
plastic lubricants (grease), any grease made for lubricating water pumps will fully suffice. The corresponding ball bearing must usually be
removed to apply it, however. We also recommend the use of so called "White Vaseline spray", it flows easily into gaps and does not lose
the long-term ability to lubricate.
When using grease with added graphite, the lubrication intervals during the season may be extended up to 25 hours.

2.6.5 Replacement of the cylinder sweeping brushes

The wear limit diameter of a worn out cylinder sweeping brushes is
event of damage to only one of them.
Fig. 22
1)
Secure the machine against movement. Set the support wheel to the highest position and support it with approx. 4 cm thick
block.
2)
Remove the two screws
from the slot.
3)
Push out the cylinder sweeping brushes from the carriers.
4)
Slide on the new cylinder sweeping brushes. Fit on the lock washer, turn it in the groove of the carrier by
the securing screws.
5)
Set the pressure of the bristles according to the Chapter 2.4.6.1 Pressure adjustment of the cylinder sweeping brushes.

2.6.6 Belt drives

The machine is equipped with modern belts that do not require any particular care. They only require regular inspection and replacement
in the event that their surfaces contain cracks or tears. Factory setting of the tension pulleys must be inspected after approx. 5 hours of
use, after the belts are run in. When running in, the tension pulley function must be inspected to prevent damage caused by insufficient
tension of the pulley due to belt extension.

2.6.6.1 Adjusting the belt drive tension pulleys

You can check the proper function of the tension pulleys using the following simple test:
1)
The machine with the wheel drive turned on must overcome a surface unevenness of 10 cm – e.g. kerb is suitable.
2)
The belt begins to drift (the work tool spins) already when the work tool clutch lever is 1/3 depressed.
If at least one of the inspections fail, the tension pulleys must be adjusted!
If you are not sufficiently technically competent, assign this task to a professional service centre.
