Fire doors must

Maintenance, warranty, disposal
Fire doors must be checked for correct and safe function at intervals of no longer
than one month. In particular:
∙ Inspect and confirm all functions of the lock and the door fitting. Ensure that all
components of the lock (lock, door fitting and striking plate) work safely.
∙ All parts of the lock must be clean to prevent blockage.
∙ Check whether all components of the system still correspond to the list of ap-
proved components originally supplied with the system.
∙ Check that all operating elements are mounted safely.
∙ Measure the actuating forces for releasing the escape door lock with a dy-
namometer and log the results.
∙ Check that the actuating forces for releasing the escape door lock have not
changed significantly since the first installation.
