Electronic Escutcheon Serial E...
The electronic door fitting series E... is a door fitting for the input of access codes
with RFID cards and/or PINs for an interior door with a European (DIN) mortise
lock.
A 3V battery inside the door fitting serves as power supply. No cables have to be
laid.
Variations of models
The electronic door fitting series E... is available in the versions "Standard" and
"Premium." The "Premium" is suitable for external doors and offers the properties
of the "Standard" version combined with increased security and is also suitable
for fire doors and escape routes. Its installation differs from that of the "Standard"
variant („Figures for mounting of standard version", Page 68). Sleeves and
screws are used in the "Standard" variant, whereas threaded pins and lock nuts
are used in the "Premium" variant.
The electronic door fitting series E... is offered with plug connector V3.
Functions
The door is opened from outside by holding an authorised RFID card in front of
the card reader or by entering a valid PIN. The door can be opened directly from
the inside, the door handle is permanently engaged.
It is possible to program ten ID media or PINs for emergency authorisation in
order to open the door from the outside if the connection to an online control
system fails. No ID media or PINs are programmed as a factory default.
