WARNING Electrocution
Before any work on the appliance, disconnect all poles of
the appliance from the power supply.
f Dismantle the appliance for maintenance work.

14.1 Draining the appliance
WARNING Burns
Hot water may escape during the draining process.
f Drain the appliance via the connector.
f
14.2 Opening the appliance
f Pull off the temperature selector and the limiting ring.
f
f Remove the screws underneath the temperature selector.
f
f Open the appliance cover by lowering the bolt screws in-
f
wards and pivot the cover upwards, then remove it.
f Undo the tie (anti-tip protection).
f
14.3 Descaling the appliance
f Remove the flanged immersion heater.
f
f Carefully tap the heating element to remove large limescale
f
deposits.
f Immerse the heating element up to the flange plate in desca-
f
ling agent.
14.4 Checking the earth conductor
f Check the earth conductor (in Germany BGV A3 for example)
f
across a water connector and the earth conductor contact of
the power cable.
14.5 Replacing the power cable
The power cable must only be replaced by a qualified contractor
with the original spare part. Alternatively, the H05VV-F3x1.0 cable
may be used.
f Route the power cable along the cable guide.
