Battery replacement
A battery change is not necessary and is tech-
nically impossible, as the device must not be
opened.

Coatings (e.g., wall paint)

Dirt of any kind

Immersion in water
Immersion in water will cause damage to the
device.
f Do not immerse the device in water.
Opening the device Opening the device
The device is a closed system. Any tampering
with the device, in addition to the loss of the
limited warranty and statutory warranties, also
means that the device cannot and must not be
used as intended.
f Do not open the device.
As an exception, you may remove the decora-
tion cover (cover of the smoke alarm device) to
identify the device or for decorating.
