WARNING
Risk of injury due to inadequately qualified
personnel.
This can cause serious injuries and damage to
equipment.
n
Only trained and appropriately qualified per-
sonnel are to work on the Wallbox.
WARNING
Danger due to unstable wall
If the wall has a load-bearing capacity of less than
40 kg, it can result in serious injuries.
n
Only install the Wallbox on walls with a load-
bearing capacity of at least 40 kg.
n
Observe all warning notices.
ATTENTION
Damage to equipment due to improper
installation location
Failure to observe the prerequisites for the instal-
lation location can lead to damage.
n
Ensure that all prerequisites for the instal-
lation location are met.
Observe all ambient conditions for the instal-
n
lation location.
Note
All of the activities described in these
assembly and installation instruc-
tions may only be performed by a
qualified electrical engineer.
7.1 Preparing the Wallbox installation
DANGER
Danger during assembly and installation
If components are damaged during assembly and
installation, there is a risk of serious injuries.
n
Stop any further work.
n
Notify technical service.
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock
n
Protect each installed Wallbox with a resi-
dual current circuit breaker (minimum
RCD type A).
ATTENTION
Possible damage to ribbon cable
Carrying out work without due care can damage
the ribbon cable (see figure 7).
n
Perform all assembly and installation acti-
vities carefully.
1.
Before starting the installation work, make
sure that all the prerequisites are met, see
Prerequisites.
2.
Clearly identify the Wallbox version from the
model name on the rating plate on the outer
cover.
In particular, the model name and the mains
connection values specified below it (mains
voltage, current, frequency) are relevant for
identification, see
Technical
3.
Prepare the predetermined breaking point
for the supply lines (the infrastructure cable
and optionally the Ethernet cable): depen-
ding on the direction of installation (top or
bottom), pre-drill the predetermined
breaking point with a pointed or suitable
tool/drill and cut off using a side cutter. See
figure 2.
4.
To install the Ethernet cable and the exter-
nal control cable, pierce the cable entry
grommet (KEL-DP 20/4-1) at a suitable
point using a pointed tool. Attach the cable
entry grommet to the rear of the Wallbox in
such a way that the lettering is facing out-
wards. The sealing lips musts enclose the
outside and inside of the rim of the plastic
housing (3), see figure 3.
Because it ensures leak tightness, the cable
entry grommet is required even if no Ether-
net cable and/or no control cable is used.
5.
To install the infrastructure cable, pierce the
cable entry grommet (KEL-SCDP 40) with a
slotted screwdriver and cut it to the required
size as specified in the cross-section table.

6.
Attach the cable entry grommet (KEL-
SCDP40) to the rear of the Wallbox in such a
way that the lettering is facing outwards.
The sealing lips musts enclose the outside
and inside of the rim of the plastic housing.
