Electrical connection
(Tab. 3 and Fig. 5)
The connecting line must be insulated
–
and project at least 30 mm from the wall
for concealed connection (Fig. 5).
– The cable suppor t sleeve supplied must
be used (Fig. 5) as a seal to prevent
water encroaching.
– Connect appliance to the terminal strip
(No. 9 in Fig. 3) and the safety ear th
terminal (No. 4, Fig. 3) as shown in Tab. 3.
– There is a snap-out cable opening
marked on the appliance case head for
surface-mounted electrical connection
(Fig. 6).
– A cable lead-through and a cable clamp
must be used. These are constituent
par ts of the appliance (Fig. 3, No. 15
and 16). Do not remove fixing cord.
Concluding the installation
– Remove securing pads. The
operating rockers of the
differential pressure switch (No. 6 in
Fig. 3) are secured with elastic bands
for transport. These should be removed
(e. g. with side cutting pliers) without
touching the operating rockers or
contact springs.
– Open three-way shut-off.
– The three-way cut-off may on no
account be used for throttling the flow
volume.
– Fit casing head.
Initial start-up
(may be performed only by a qualified
professional!)
Danger of boiling dry!
– All the hot water outlets
connected to the appliance must
be left turned on until the pipe system
and the appliance are free of air before
screwing in/switching on the fuses. Air
will damage the heating system beyond
repair if the power is turned on to heat
the water!
If the water was turned off at the leg
stopcock because of exchange or re-
installation, you must check whether
further instantaneous water heaters
are also connected. These must also be
bled of air as described above.
– Check operation of the instantaneous
water heater.
– If the flow pressure required for
switching on the DHA (Tab. 2) is not
available, the flow rate limiter must be
removed. By doing this, the values stated
in Tab. 2 can be obtained.
Handing over
Explain the functioning of the appliance to
the user and make him familiar with its use.
Warn the user about possible dangers
(scalding).
Hand over these instructions for keeping in
a safe place.

Zubehör
Bei einer Aufputz-Wandin-
stallation dürfen nur die Stiebel
Eltron Armaturen WKMD und WBMD
verwendet werden. Es ist darauf zu ach-
ten, dass die Verbindungsrohre an der
Armatur durch die Schneidring-Quetsch-
Verschraubungen gegen Herausrutschen
gesichert sind! Die zwei Verschluss-Stop-
fen G ½ Messing sind statt der Doppel-
nippel zu verwenden (im Lieferumfang
der Stiebel Eltron Armaturen WKMD
und WBMD enthalten).
Wird ein vorhandenes Gerät ersetzt,
muss der in diesem Gerät vorhandene
Haltewinkel (Pos. 1, Abb. 8, Seite 10) in
das neue Gerät eingebaut werden.
Dazu die Schraube (Pos. 7, Abb. 8,
Seite 10) lösen und den Haltewinkel wie
abgebildet zwischen Rückwand und
Spritzwasserschutz (Pos. 8, Abb. 8,
Seite 10) einbauen.

Accessories
Only the special accessories for
Stiebel Eltron WKMD and WBMD
valves and fittings may be used with a
surface-mounted wall installation.
Care must be taken that the connecting
pipes on the tap unit are secured against
slipping out by the taper bush crimped
screw joints. The two sealing plugs G ½,
brass, should be used instead of the
double nipple (included with the Stiebel
Eltron WKMD and WBMD fittings).
If an existing appliance is to be replaced,
the mounting bracket (No. 1, Fig. 8,
Page 10) in this appliance must be fitted
in the new appliance.
To do this, undo the screw (No. 7, Fig. 8,
Page 10) and fit the mounting bracket as
illustrated between the rear panel and
the splash protection (No. 8, Fig. 8,
Page 10).
