In addition, the following should be
regarded:
–The rating plate
– Technical data
Regarding the tubular heating element
which can be used in water with a low
lime content (see Tab. 2 for functional
range).
– The water installation material
cold water pipe:
steel or copper
hot water pipe:
copper.
Plastic pipes may not be used for
the cold water pipe or the hot
water pipe.
– Tap units for open appliances are not
permissible.
– In the case of water pipe pressure above
10 bar, a pressure reducing valve and a
safety valve is to be provided.
The appliance must be connected
to the earth terminal (see Fig. 3,
No. 4).
– The appliance must be able to be
disconnected from the mains with an
isolation barrier of at least 3 mm on all
poles, e. g. by means of fuses.

Preparing the appliance for
installation
– Remove casing head after undoing the
screw on the underside of the appliance.
– The expanded polystyrene wadding in
the appliance used to prevent damage
during transport should be removed and
disposed of for recycling.
– Rinse cold water pipe thoroughly.
– Remove the DHA double nipple and
three-way cut-off from the connection
pipes (No. 3 and 10 in Fig. 4).
– Screw the double nipple into the cold
and hot water pipe.
– Using the assembly pattern, determine
the position of the cable inlet (concealed
or surface-mounted connection) and the
mounting bracket.
– A snap-out opening for the cable is
marked on the inside of the housing case
head for surface-mounted electrical
connection.
– Secure mounting bracket as shown in
Fig. 2. Use 4.5 x 35 mm wood screws.
– Secure appliance the mounting bracket
by means of the hexagon nut.
– Surface irregularities of up to max. 12 mm,
e. g. as a result of tile mismatch, can be
compensated for by means of the mount-
ting bracket hexagon nuts (see Fig. 2).
DHA water connection (Fig. 4)
– The dir t pan or the strainers in the cold
water connection must not be removed.
Dismantling the flow rate limiter
(Fig. 3)
– Isolate appliance.
– Close shut-off device in the cold water
pipe.
– Unscrew union nut (for No. 7).
"Concluding the installation" and "initial
start-up".
