4.2 Filtering system

When using the dishwasher without or with improperly
inserted fi lters, coarse dirt particles can enter the sys-
tem and cause clogging, impair the performance of the
appliance and damage dishes and utensils.
• Never use the dishwasher without the fi lter.
• Make sure that all parts of the fi lter module are cor-
rectly reinstalled.
The fi ltering system in the base of the wash cabinet
retains coarse debris from the washing cycle.
The collected coarse debris may cause the fi lters to
clog. Check the condition of the fi lters regularly and
clean them if necessary but at least once a week under
running water as described in this chapter.
Removing the fi lter module
• Hold the coarse fi lter and rotate it anticlockwise to
unlock the fi lter assembly.
• Lift the fi lter assembly upwards and out of the dish-
washer.
• Make sure that no foreign objects can get into the ope-
ning.
