Before using your cooker for the first time, fill it halfway with water and boil the water for half
an hour. Then pour out the water to get rid of any impurities.
•
Never use wire sponges or other hard materials to clean the pressure cooker as these could
scratch the surface of stainless steel.
•
Check that all the valves are in the right position before each use. Check that the pressure
control valve, safety valve and sealing gasket are clean.
•
Add the right amount of water or liquid when using the pressure cooker.
•
Caution: Make sure you never add more liquid than necessary, and never fill the cooker to
more than 2/3 of its capacity including the liquid you have to add, or else the safety systems
could be damaged (risk of burns).
•
Never use the cooker to fry with oil with the lid closed.
•
Closing the lid:
Align the ● mark on the lid with the ● mark on the body handle (see fig. 3), until the lid falls in
place on the body, then turn the lid clockwise until the upper handle and the lower handle are
in line. When they are, you will hear a "click" sound as the cooker closes.
Hint: Please make sure the push button is in the right position (fig. 4).
Caution: check that the button is in the right position before closing the lid. The open button
will automatically slide back, meaning that the lid is closed properly. Move the button to the
right position if it is not in place. (See fig. 6)
