TROUBLESHOOTING

Warning! Before opening up the calibration system, switch it off, unplug it from the mains and put up a warning sign to stop anybody
inadvertently switching it back on again.

CALIBRATION SYSTEM

Fault
calibration system is without function
magnetic switch „Resistor" does not
close; no current conduction
magnetic switches „load resistors" do not
open/close
Excess temperature indicator illuminated

Cause

coolant temperature too high
voltage measurement switch set to "Upeak"
interferences on the signal measured
With a.c. voltage / current the calibration system
will display the mean value whereas external
meters usually show the actual value

Coolant level is too low
Constriction or foreign body in cooling circuit
Coolant pump fuse is defective
Coolant pump is defective

Remedy
replace the fuse for the cal. syst. primary
circuit
check water flow; make sure there is an un-
hindered backflow
allow calibration system to cool down
replace fuse for magnetic switch
replace fuse for calibration system internal
circuit
replace fuse for magnetic switch
replace fuse for calibration system internal
circuit
allow calibration system to cool down
set voltage measurement siwtch to "Ueff"
use filter for external measuring instrument
use external measuring instrument that meters
mean value
replace fuse for mains plugs
Remedy
Top up with more coolant
Remove the constriction or foreign body
Replace the coolant pump fuse
Replace the coolant pump
Remove the coolant pump fuse and - using a
suitable slot-screw screwdriver inserted
through the motor-shaft lead-in - rotate the
motor shaft. After this, replace the coolant-
pump fuse.
Replace the fan
Replace the coolant pump
Top up with more coolant
Replace the coolant pump
