BODYFAT MEASUREMENT (PROGRAMME 14)
To perform a body fat measurement, select programme 14 and enter the data for sex (Gender), height (Height),
weight (Weight) and age (Age) using ENTER, UP and DOWN.
Press ST/SP to start the measurement - keep both hands on the hand pulse sensors so that the computer can
determine the values. The measurement takes about 10 seconds. The values determined are then output:
a) BMI (Body-Mass-Index)

The BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the amount of energy the body requires at rest to maintain basic bodily func-
