4.1 Checking the direction of rotation and initial operation

Before mounting the exhaust arm, check the direction of rotation of the fan!
• To do this, loosen the two clamp fasteners on the machine cover and pivot it upwards.
• Remove the pre-ilter mat and lift the ilter insert out of the ilter part.
• Briely switch on the device at the motor protection switch (see Chapter 5) on the front panel and immediately thereafter switch off.
Take care that no clothing or hair gets sucked in! As a protection, the suction intake is provided with a protective grille.
• Through the protective grille on the bottom of the ilter, you will see the impeller still rotating.
It must be rotating anti-clockwise!
• If rotating in the wrong direction, a qualiied electrician must switch over two of the phases in the plug.
• Replace the ilters and close the lid.
• Mount the exhaust arm and observe the separate operating instructions for the exhaust arm.
The ilter unit is now ready and can be switched on.

On/off switch
Even when the device is operated using automatic start-stop, or on/off switches, this device must be initially switched on
using the on/off switches.
Indicator lamp on the ilter monitor

With increasing operating time, the main ilter becomes increasingly dirty and thus the extraction capacity of the device is reduced.
The indicator lamp for the ilter change indicates that a replacement is required.

Achtung!
Filtereinsatz nicht reinigen!
Ausblasen oder Ausklopfen führt zu Rissen im Filtermedium. Dadurch verliert das Filter
seine Wirkung. Gesundheitsschädigende Stoffe gelangen in die Atemluft.
Elektriker!
Falsche Drehrichtung des Ventilators hat eine um 40 % geringere Saugleistung
zur Folge. Bei falscher Drehrichtung durch Wechsel von 2 Phasen Drehrichtung
korrigieren!
Einstellen des Absaugarmes!
Absaughaube ca. 30 - 50 cm schräg oberhalb der Schweißstelle positionieren.
Gelenke des Absaugarmes sind nachstellbar.
Attention!
Do not clean filter insert!
Blowing out or knocking out can cause cracks in the filter medium. This would
destroy the filter and hazardous substances could get into the atmosphere.
Electrician!
If the ventilator runs in the wrong direction the suction capacity will be reduced by
40 %. Set the sense of direction right if it is incorrect due to the change of 2 phases.
Adjustment of the suction arm!
Position the suction hood about 30 - 50 cm diagonally above the welding spot.
The joints of the suction arm are adjustable.
Attention!
Ne pas nettoyer le filtre!
Des secousses ou le soufflage par air comprimé conduisent à des déchirures
du média filtrant. Des substances nocives sont libérées dans l'atelier.
Electricien!
Le sens de rotation incorrect du ventilateur induit une perte de puissance
d'aspiration de 40 %. La correction du sens de rotation s'effectue en
interchangeant 2 phases!
Règlage du bras d'aspiration!
Positionner le bras de façon à ce que la hotte d'aspiration se trouve à 30 - 50 cm
obliquement au dessus de l'endroit de soudage. Les articulations du bras
d'aspiration sont règlables.
