• Do not use the device in the presence of children or
allow children to operate the device.
• Never position the device so that a person can delibera-
tely or inadvertently look into the laser beam.
• Do not use the device on shiny or reflective surfaces
such as sheet steel. The reflective surface could direct
the beam back towards the operator.
• Always switch off the device when it is not in use. Lea-
ving the device switched on increases the risk of a per-
son inadvertently looking into the laser beam.
• Never attempt to repair or disassemble the device.
If unqualified persons attempt to repair this device,
this could result in serious injuries. Any repair worked
required on the laser measuring device must be perfor-
med by STORCH's authorised after-sales service.
• Do not operate the device in explosive areas, for exam-
ple, in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
• The use of accessories designed for other laser measu-
ring devices can lead to serious injuries.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
