Safety notes
2. Safety notes
2.1 Correct use
The "sensor connection set Regumat" for
the system controller "Regtronic RD-W"
serves the detection of the supply and return
temperatures and differential pressure in the
heating circuit riser. The controller compares
the
actual
temperature
pressure values supplied by the sensors with
the nominal values stored in the controller.
The "sensor connection set Regumat" must
only be used in combination with the Oventrop
transmission stations "Regumat M3". Any use
with the product groups of other manufacturers
is not allowed.
On principle, the sensors must only be used
in a technically perfect condition, according
to their intended use and in compliance with
these installation instructions.
2.2 Definition of the warning notices
These installation and operating instructions
show warnings which are displayed by
symbols. The symbols are linked to signal
words which define the seriousness of the
danger which arises from a situation. The
warnings are to be observed to avoid injuries
to persons and damage to property.
WARNING
Warning symbol and signal are
indicating a dangerous situation
with moderate risk which may lead
to death or serious injury if not
avoided.
ATTENTION
Signal word (without warning
symbol)
indicating
damage to property.

2.3 Residual dangers
The following residual dangers for persons
and property exist during installation and
operation:
WARNING
Danger to life due to electric shock!
All sensors included in the delivery must
be connected to the terminal block of the
controller.
• Opening of the controller casing and
all electrical connections must only be
carried out by a qualified electrician.
• The following 5 safety regulations
must be observed during installation
and cabling:
- Disconnect
- Protect against accidental restart
- Check that no voltage is present
- Earth and short-circuit
- (If necessary) Cover adjacent live
parts
• Please make sure that the controller can
be disconnected from the power supply
with an all-pole disconnecting device
(plug/socket or 2-pole circuit breaker).
• The local safety directives must be
observed.
• Installation must only be carried out in
dry indoor areas.
• The connections of the protective low
voltage range (e.g. sensor connections)
must not be mixed up with the 230 V
connections.
• Newly installed controllers must only
be energized once cabling of all system
components has been carried out.
• Completely disconnect the controller
from the power supply before removing
any connected system components
(e.g. for maintenance or repair).
