Why is the drink dispensing process delayed?

Try to remove the spent capsule container by jogging the container gently to and fro.

Why does the milk/rinse button light up when switching on the machine?
K-fee® – your system logo.
The milk/rinse button lights up when the machine is switched back on after a long period without
use (about 30 minutes). Press the milk/rinse button to rinse the machine. The machine is then ready
to prepare beverages.
Why are the "small cup" and "large cup" buttons flashing rapidly?
Switch the machine off and remove the plug from the mains supply. If the problem persists, please
inform Customer Service.
Why is the drink not dispensed properly?
Push the lever fully down. If necessary, descale the machine – see the "Descaling the machine" section.
If the water tank becomes empty while drinks are being dispensed and the pump runs dry:
• Press any button to stop the brewing process.
• Open the lever to eject the spent capsule and close it again.
• Then fill up the water tank and replace it in the machine.
• Rinse the machine until water comes out of the spout.
• Now you can start again with a new capsule.

Why do I have to descale the machine if I am using the water filter?
If the water filter is regularly changed, no descaling is necessary. Nevertheless, it is possible that
mineral deposits occur depending on the water quality and the machine location. For this reason we
recommend an annual cleaning / rinsing process using a K-fee® – your system Descaler.
Why does the machine suddenly switch off during a period of intensive use?
If the cooling­down period is too short, the machine switches itself off as protection against over­
heating. The buttons flash green for approx. 1 minute. The machine is then ready to operate again.
Why does the machine switch itself off?
The machine switches off automatically if it is unused for more than 5 minutes. Please remember that
the machine uses power as long as it is plugged in the mains socket (< 0.5 W).
How do you reset the machine to the factory settings?
Switch the machine off using the on/off button. Press the "small cup" and "large cup" buttons at the
same time and switch the machine back on. The milk/rinse button lights up once again as confirmation.
