6 Maintenance, upkeep
6.1 Ash grate
If necessary and when cold, the ash grate
can be removed in order to thoroughly clean
the interior. When removing and re-inserting
the ash grate, always ensure that you
do not damage the combustion chamber's
Thermotte lining.

6.2 Ash pan
When cold and when the door is open, the
ash pan can be pulled out to the front and
emptied. Ensure without fail that the ash
has completely cooled off and that there are
no more ember residues in the ash pan.
