4.6 Handling
You should wait to refill the device with
fuel until the original fuel has burned down
to its embers. Open the primary air supply
completely. Then, slowly open the combustion-
chamber door and insert the split logs all
the way to the rear panel of the stove. Then,
re-close the combustion-chamber door.
After the split wooden logs have burned for
some time, the primary ventilation flap can
be choked if necessary in order to achieve
more even burning.
Always empty the ash pan promptly when
the wood-burning stove is cold; otherwise,
an impediment of the combustion air
supply which ( also when it flows into the
combustion chamber ) is intended to cool
the grate. If there is too much ash in the ash
pan and this causes an impediment of
the combustion air supply, this can damage
the grate fixture.

Fuels
5.1 Permissible fuels
The Bullerjan dot
is approved for the
®
following solid fuels:
Dry split logs
Brown-coal briquettes
Following outdoor storage for approx. two
years, split logs attain a moisture level
of approx. 15 % – and are then suitable for
heating. Fresh-cut wood contains approx.
45–60 % moisture. Please duly note that
moist wood damages the stove and the
flue while also reducing the heating value.
You will find valuable information on
"Heating with Wood" on the Internet at
www.bullerjan.de
Only with the use of the fuel deemed
permissible will you heat safely and without
unnecessary emissions. In addition, fuel
quantities adjusted to the prevailing
heat requirement will avoid unnecessary
emissions. No other fuels than the ones
specified may be used!
5.2 Permissible fuel quantities
Maximum permissible fuel quantities
( nominal heat output 6 kW, specified in
kilograms per hour ) :
Split logs
Brown-coal briquettes approx. 1.7 kg/h
approx. 1.5 kg/h
