8.3 Storage
Store the diaphragm valve so that it is

dust protected and dry in its original
packaging.
Avoid UV rays and direct sunlight.

Maximum storage temperature: 40°C.

The tools required for installation and

assembly are not included in the scope of
delivery.
Use appropriate, functional and safe

tools.
9 Functional description
GEMÜ 601 / 602 is a metal diaphragm valve
with a 2/2-way, T or tank bottom valve body or
in multi-port design. Bonnet and internals are
made all of stainless steel. GEMÜ 601 has
a temperature resistant plastic handwheel,
GEMÜ 602 has a stainless steel handwheel.
An integral optical position indicator and a
seal adjuster are included as standard. The
valve body and the diaphragm are available in
various designs as shown in the data sheet.
The valve has CIP / SIP cleaning and sterilizing
capabilities and autoclave capability.
