Setting Up the Fire Pit

Warning Risk of damage!
The bolts can loosen slowly

during operation and afect the
ire pit stability.
– Check whether the bolts are tight prior
to each use. If necessary, tighten all
of the bolts again to ensure the ire pit
stands stable.
• Place the ire pit on an even, sturdy
surface outdoors before use.

Before Grilling

• Prior to irst use, wash the cooking
grate with warm soapy water.
• Conditioning
Before you use the grill for the irst time,
it needs to be conditioned (pre-ired)
for at least 30 minutes at a temperature
of 100-200°C.
This is necessary to prepare the inside
of the ire pit for food preparation and
to ire in the heat-resistant paint on the
outside.

Operation

Danger Burning hazard!
The ire pit, charcoal and the

food being grilled become very
hot during use. Any contact can
result in serious burns.

– Keep suicient distance from hot parts
since any contact can lead to severe
burns.
– Always wear oven or barbecue gloves
when grilling.
– Use only long-handled utensils with
heat-resistant grips.
– Do not wear any clothing with wide
sleeves.
– Use only dry lighters or special luid
lighters compliant with EN 1860-3
as irelighters.
Using the Fire Pit as a Fireplace
1. Remove ire pit screen (E) and cooking
grates (C) from ire pit (A).
2. Place 1-2 solid irelighters in the middle
of charcoal tray (G). Pay attention
to the manufacturer's instructions on
the packaging. Light the irelighters
using a match.
3. Build a pyramid from small, well dried
out irewood sections, and place dry
irelighters in the pyramid.
4. Ignite the irelighters. When the small
irewood pieces have caught enough
ire, you can place some bigger pieces
of irewood on them. Place ire pit
screen (E) on ire pit (A) to prevent
sparks from escaping. Use hook poker
(F) to poke the ire if needed.
5. IMPORTANT! Bear in mind that the ire
pit gets very hot. Therefore, touch the
ire pit with oven or barbecue gloves
only
