Using the Fire Pit as a Grill
1. Remove ire pit screen (E) and cooking
grates (C) from ire pit (A).
2. Place 1-2 solid irelighters in the
middle of charcoal tray (G). Pay atten-
tion to the manufacturer's instructions
on the packaging. Light the irelighters
using a match.
3. Layer maximum 5 kg of charcoal
around the irelighters.
4. Prior to irst use, the ire pit must be
pre-ired for at least 30 minutes.
Refer to the section Before Grilling.
5. As soon as the charcoal is glowing,
distribute it evenly in ire pit (A) using
hook poker (F).
6. Rub cooking grates (C) with a little bit
of vegetable oil before placing them on
the ire pit. Make sure that the cooking
grates snap well into the recesses on
the side walls.
7. Place the food to be grilled on the grate
only when the charcoal is covered with
a bright layer of ash.

To clean and maintain the surfaces, please
heed the following instructions:

grilling. This makes the cleaning
easier as any excess fat and barbecue
residues burn away.
• Empty out the cold ash using ash
shovel (H).
It is very important that you remove
the ash from the ire pit body before
any moisture combines with the
cold ash. Ash is saline and, in
a moist condition, it will damage
the inside of the ire pit body. If this
happens regularly over years, the
ire pit body can sustain damage
through rust.
