In the default setting (condition at the time of delivery), an English sensor
database is used. But you can switch to a German or French language sensor
database. The data are identical, it is just the sensor group names that are in
the respective languages.
Procedure for modifying the sensor database
1. In catman
AP, use the Sensor database context tab and the File menu
to load the relevant sensor database from the installation directory
"C:\Programs\HBM\catmanEasy_DE\" or
"C:\Programs\HBM\catmanEasy_FR\".
2. Save this sensor database under a different name to drive D or E, and
open it again. catman
names and use them during the next startup.
If you want to keep the English version, merely save it under a different name
to drive D or E.
Use a different name if possible, as a sensor database called
HBM_SensorDatabase.sdb could be overwritten when the system is updated
(although you will be asked whether that should happen). Import a new sensor
database to your sensor database to incorporate new sensors, as required. A
description of this can be found in the catman
database.

9.2 Setting up a device scan

The device scan options can be set up via the start window of catman
and Configure device scan.
In Search device types, activate the connected device type, e.g. QuantumX.
A CX27 scan is only necessary if your QuantumX modules are connected via
a CX27 module and Ethernet.
In Search ports, activate the interface via which your devices are connected,
e.g. FireWire. For an Ethernet connection, enter the address range to browse
(Scan range for TCP/IP device scan) or use the QuantumX device manager.
Tip
Only search the interface which has a device connected. Use the QuantumX
device manager to make the necessary settings when first connecting to
QuantumX via Ethernet. No address is required for QuantumX and FireWire.

9.3 Creating a DAQ project

A DAQ project contains all settings for the devices used, transducers
(sensors), real time calculations, how the measurement is to be carried out
