Maintenance
Sharpen or replace the blades.
To replace the blades on

Replace the fuel filter.
Do a check of the throttle cable.
Do a check of the front wheels.
Do a check of the belts and the
belt pulleys.
Disassemble and examine the
starter.
Do a check of the cutting deck
for adjustment. Refer to
the parallelism of the cutting deck
on page 21 .
Do a check of the engine oil level.

Do a check of the cleanout cover
on the engine.
Replace the engine oil and oil fil-
ter.
Remove debris from the cylinder
and the cooling fins on the cylin-

ing fins on the oil cooler.
Do a check of and clean the
spark plugs.
Replace the air cleaner primary

element.
Do a check of the air cleaner sec-

ondary element.
Clean the combustion chamber.
