MY ACE KETOSCAN MINI SHOWS VERY HIGH VALUES.
WHAT CAN BE THE REASON FOR THIS?
There are several possibilities and situations where high
concentration results are obtained even though the ACE
KETOSCAN mini is working correctly.
1. precautions before use are not followed (e.g. test af
ter drinking coffee, eating or smoking etc.).
» Solution: Use the Ketoscan mini according to the
precautions.
2. test is performed immediately after using hand sanitizer.
» Solution: Alcohol hand sanitizer may affect the re
sults of the Ketoscan mini if a person tests immedia
tely after using the sanitizer. Please stay away from
the device for half an hour after using the disinfec
tant and test later.
3. If you use only the inner mouthpiece and blow strong
ly into it, it may cause moisture such as saliva or other
substances to enter the sensor of the device.
» Solution: In this case, the results will be temporarily
high. Please clean the inner part of the mouthpiece
with a dry cloth or cotton swab and use the device
again after a few minutes, then the result should be
normal. We recommend using the Ketoscan app to
learn how to give exhalation samples properly, and
always use a new disposable mouthpiece to avoid
this situation.
4. if the measurement results are continuously high
even though all the above measures have been avoi
ded, but the results are low when tested by others.
» Recommended: Since it is unlikely that the problem
is due to malfunction of the product, we strongly re
commend consulting a physician as soon as pos
sible.
